Nottingham Lace

We're very excited to be introducing a new range of Nottingham Lace inspired goodies on Sunday 10th October!

As part of Nottingham's Creative October, we are hosting a Sunday Tea Party this Sunday 10th October. The shop will be open from 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm, and lovely tea and cakes will be served 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm.

At 2.30pm there will be a talk about the early development of Nottingham Lace and the hand frame era from Mr. Henry Hurt MBE, from the award winning Chilwell Lace-knit manufacturer.

J.C.Middlebrook will be showing Nottingham Lace inspired contemporary craft, including delicate bookmarks, doilies and napkin sets. Each is made by hand in Nottingham, and we are really pleased to be stocking them as they'll make fantastic gifts! Jayne will be on hand to show you her work and some of the pieces she is developing for next year.

  1. Mr Hurt was so fascinating - I could have listened to him all day! ... and it was lovely to meet Charlotte on Sunday and to watch her work - what a talented lady! She's making your shop and studio even more delicious! ~ Rodent Rocker

  2. Can't wait for the bookbinding workshop on Saturday!... Obviously, it's all about the tea and cakes, but I'm really looking forward to learning how to put together my own sketchbook - see you Saturday lovely! ~ Rodent Rocker x
